This image was (still is?) on display at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. i captured it in May 2005 during a four-day vacation up north (which followed a seven-day vacation "down south," i.e. New York City and Virginia).

About the site

Teeves.com came about after roughly two years of being without a domain name because a cybersquatter snatched up my other, much more perfect domain. It took a bit of prodding from friends to motivate me to get another one, but all I wanted was my old one to be mine once again. Alas, the cyberchump was still squatting and I could do nothing about it.

What is a Teeves?

The term "Teeves" came about as a nickname; obviously I found it cheeky enough to brand myself as such from here on out. Only a few college friends actually call me Teeves.

Development: How the magic happens

This website is coded in XHTML 1.0 Transitional and CSS, and adheres to 508 accessibility. It looks best when viewed with standard-compliant modern browser (Firefox, Opera) and should also be all right with Internet Explorer, though it's not preferred. I'm not quite sure how it looks on a Mac, so if you use one please let me know how it looks, if anything's broken, or even to send a screenshot(!).

Graphic and image editing were accomplished with Macromedia Fireworks and Photoshop CS2, with front-end programming coded via Macromedia HomeSite. This website is powered by Movable Type and generously hosted by my friend, Peter, who uses DreamHost. I've used DreamHost in the past as well and I can attest to the great service they offer.

  • The Scoop

This is a personal website for a (nearly) 25 year-old femme fatale who breathes, works, and plays in Texas. Most of what one may find here are crafty vignettes ripped from the headlines of her life. She also has an odd fascination with ninjas—the black-masked killing machines, not the two-wheeled crotch-rockets. Those are dumb. Intrigued? Read more.
